Electromagnetic sorter for the detection and removal of infesting elements (cuscuta) in samples of alfalfa and trifolium seeds.

The electromagnetic sorter (cuscuta remover) model SEM 5 is designed to equip analysis labs with a thorough and detailed control of the seeds. The machinery searches the best
specimens (with the highest germinability and no infesting elements) sorting them and detecting the percentage of defective/infesting seeds. Such categorisation facilitates the analysis because the cuscuta seeds, if present, are concentrated in the waste portion of the sample.
